Welcome to the website of Caerleon Civic Society.

Caerleon Civic Society exists to preserve the character of this historic and friendly town and its surrounding areas and to make people aware of the need to look after it.

Our streets are rich in architectural treasures not only of Roman times but of the Medieval, Georgian and Victorian eras resulting in an area of pleasant and diverse visual quality.

Preserving these treasures falls to voluntary bodies such as the Civic Society.

Founded in the early 70's , Caerleon Civic Society is an independent group which campaigns for conservation and improvement within this attractive town and its surrounding areas.

We have an active planning committee who scrutinises planning applications encouraging planners, builders and developers to plan with respect and to complement our heritage meeting the high standards that reflect the unique character of our area.

The Society offers members a meeting place to get their voice heard.
